Soon the NORC Institute at the University of Chicago will conduct an investigation into the phenomenon of child labor in cocoa farming in Côte d’Ivoire.
But well before the start of this investigation, the various actors involved in the chain of remediation of the phenomenon and the investigators of NORC are in conclaves from 14 to 15 February 2018 in order to stop a common and consensual methodology that will make the phenomenon intelligible.
The opening ceremony of this important workshop for Côte d’Ivoire was chaired by Minister Jean Claude Kouassi, Minister of Employment and Social Protection, and President of the Interministerial Committee against Trafficking. , Exploitation and Child Labor (CIM) and representative of Mrs Dominique Ouattara, President of the CNS.
