The President of Children of Africa shares her love for the environment with the children of the Anono and Blockauss School Groups 2

Educating children on the issue of environmental protection and climate change, were the topics discussed in the book of the American author Elizabeth Mc Namara entitled “the day of the earth”, chosen by Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, President of Children Of Africa, Wednesday, May 02, 2018, during the reading ceremony organized by the United States Embassy in Ivory Coast in the hall of the American center.

This ceremony was attended by school children Anono and Blockauss 2 and several personalities including the Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Mr. Maurice Kouakou Bandama: Mrs. Clarisse Duncan, wife of the Vice-President; Mrs. Sarah Fadiga Sacko, Senator of Touba and many other personalities.

For about thirty minutes, in the conviviality and the good mood, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara shared her love for the reading and the protection of the nature with her small guests of the day.

Regarding the choice of the book of Elizabeth Mc Namara, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara revealed that the question of the protection of the environment is of paramount importance for her. “The earth is our planet. It must be protected, “she said. Thus, this book allowed Mrs. Dominique Ouattara to explain the importance of protecting the environment to children. Global warming, the protection of fauna and flora, the recycling of garbage and reforestation are all topics that the wife of the Head of State has shared with his small listeners. At the end of this reading session, the children were able to ask him some questions.

After these exchanges, the Founder of Children Of Africa offered presents to all the children present. The ceremony ended with a beautiful family photo
