My Dear Sisters,

I am very happy to see you today in Touba after a long absence, and I wanted to tell you that I have missed you a lot.

This afternoon, as in each of my visits, you have all mobilized to provide me a warm welcome and I must say that your joy and your affection warm my heart.

You have been informed that your brother, President Alassane Ouattara would come to visit you soon. He has arrived this morning and is currently in Koro. He asked me to hug you tight and tell you that you will see him tomorrow at the great meeting of Touba.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Firstly, I would like to greet Madam Minister Anne Ouloto, our dear sister who is always with us and is doing so much the women of Côte d’Ivoire. I also greet the very welcome presence of the Great Chancellor Henriette Dagri Diabaté, our lovely auntie.

I would now like to greet my sisters, Madam First Deputy Speaker of the Supreme Courts Sara Sakoh and Chantal Camara, President of the FEKBADO association.

I would like to thank them for their affection and loyalty. They are on my side for many years and I would like to tell them today before their families, how much I appreciate their commitment.

Moreover, I could not forget the members of the great Fadiga and Bamba families, who are very close to our family for many years. I affectionately greet their children, and all members of these two families.

Finally, I would like to congratulate all the executives of the organizing committee for the magnificent welcome that has been reserved for us. Thank you all for your involvement in the success of this visit.

Dear Sisters,

I have always been at your side to help you in your activities. In 2009, for example, on the occasion of the visit I made in Touba, I have offered agricultural equipment.

It is in this same context that in 2012 and 2013, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, I sent you again, donations in order to support you.

Today, as you know, I created the Support Fund for the Women of Côte d’Ivoire (FAFCI) with the help of my dear husband, the President of the Republic who is women’s first advocate in our country.

Starting from a start-up fund of CFA francs one billion, the FAFCI today boasts for a capital of FCFA 6 billion thanks to the confidence of the President of the Republic against women.

To date, a funding of FCFA 150 million will be made available to the women of the Department of Touba. And it is altogether 732 projects that will be funded.

Today more than 1,500 women will benefit from FAFCI for the development of their projects. These credits will enable them to successfully undertake income-generating activities that will make them independent and active women thanks to the FAFCI.

At this stage of my remarks, I would like to thank our partner the COOPEC, whose Director General Mr Savane Issiaka is present and is working hard for the success of this project.

My Dear Sisters,

In addition to the checks, I also brought you different gifts that have just been listed to help you carry out your various activities. I know you will make good use of them.

I have faith in you and in your abilities. You can always count on my support and affection.

Remember that I am daughter of Touba and this town is dear to my heart.

Thank you.
