The First Lady, Madame Dominique Ouattara, received Minister François Albert Amichia, President of the Organizing Committee of the African Cup of Nations – Côte d’Ivoire 2023 (COCAN), on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at her office in Cocody.

African Cup of Nations 2024: The COCAN team draws inspiration from the the First Lady’s experience
Mr. François Albert Amichia was accompanied by Mr. Idriss Diallo, Vice-President of COCAN and President of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF); Mr. Malick Tohé, President of the Organization and Competition Commission; and General Youssouf Kouyaté, President of the Safety and Security Commission.
COCAN is the linchpin of the organization of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations, which will take place in Côte d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
Faced with this challenge, Mr. François Albert Amichia, President of COCAN, wished to take advice and recommendations from the Wife of the Head of State.
Note that COCAN was created on June 7, 2018 by decree on the proposal of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) and the Ministry of Sports.
