Audience: First Lady Dominique Ouattara receives 2022 and 2023 Ivorian Beauty Pageant winners

The meeting which took place at the First Lady’s office in Cocody witness the presence of Mr Victor Yapobi, President of the Ivorian Beauty Pageant Committee (COMICI), and Mr Thierry Coffie, Secretary General of COMICI.

As patron of Miss Côte d’Ivoire, the First Lady, Ms Dominique Ouattara has always received the new Ivorian beauty queens. This meeting was no exception, except that for the first time, the wife of the Head of State received two beauty queens and their respective runners-up at the same time.

During the audience, First Lady Dominique Ouattara congratulated her goddaughters on their beauty pageant triumphs. She also offered advice for their future careers.

The First Lady also presented gifts to her goddaughters.

After the audience, Mr Thierry Coffie, COMICI SG and Executive Director of the Miss Côte d’Ivoire Foundation, explained the significance of the visit. “The First Lady was keen to receive COMICI with the 2022 and 2023 winners. Like every year, as the godmother of the Ivorian beauty competition, she has accepted to receive the winners after they have been crowned,” explained Mr. Thierry Coffie.
