Audience: The First Lady exchanges views with Mr. Charles Kouassi, CEO of CNPS

The First Lady, Mrs Dominique Ouattara, granted an audience to Mr. Charles Kouassi, Managing Director of the National Social Security Fund (CNPS), on Tuesday December 12, 2023, at her office.

During this meeting with the wife of the Head of State, the CNPS’s CEO reviewed the progress of the partnership between the Support Fund for Women (FAFCI) and his organization.

On leaving the audience, Mr. Charles Kouassi, CEO of CNPS, was kind enough to lift a corner of the veil on the purpose of his visit: “It was a very important moment for me. It’s always an honor and a pleasure to meet the First Lady. First of all, to express my gratitude to the First Lady and to the President of the Republic. Because the President of the Republic has placed his trust in me, and I’ve been Managing Director of the CNPS for 10 years.

The First Lady does a lot for women through the FAFCI program, where over 300,000 women receive financia support for their income-generating activities. As CNPS, we provide them with social security. That’s what I came to tell the First Lady. We are in the process of reinforcing the enrolment of these women, and we have already begun to pay benefits in accordance with the law. We have a partnership with FAFCI. It’s an excellent dynamic. From time to time, the First Lady honors me with a visit to see how the partnership is progressing.
