First Lady Dominique Ouattara sponsored the second gala dinner of the Group of Ambassadors’ Spouses in Côte d’Ivoire, on Friday October 20, 2023, at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire Auditorium.

The theme of this gala dinner is “A Brighter Tomorrow”, and the aim is to raise funds to improve the quality of life, health and education of excluded children and young people in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Group of Ambassadors’ Spouses took advantage of the ceremony to present the First Lady with an award for her charitable work on behalf of the underprivileged. Ms Dominique Ouattara has been committed to the well-being of the underprivileged for several decades, and is a source of inspiration to women.

After taking stock of the humanitarian actions carried out by her group, the wife of the French Ambassador thanked Ms Dominique Ouattara for involving them in all her humanitarian activities. “We would also like to thank you for involving us in the events you organize throughout Côte d’Ivoire. Thanks to you, we have seen many places” she said.                           Mrs. Suhad Belliard then outlined the Group’s future commitments. Indeed, the Group intends to multiply its humanitarian actions through development aid and support for individuals and communities in difficult situations.

A tombola, a dance show, performances by artists and comedians, a fashion show on the theme: “The dream by Reda Fawaz” and an auction were the highlights of this gala dinner. The ceremony ended with a performance by Lionel’s Ewo orchestra, followed by DJ entertainment.
